St Patty’s Day Mint Smoothie

I’ve never posted a smoothie with mint before, but it gives the smoothie a summery taste, with lots of health benefits.  Mint has been shown to relieve stomach upset with its ability to relax the smooth muscle of the intestinal tract.  Ever been told to drink mint tea if your tummy is feeling off? Well, same thing holds.  Mint tea will help ease most indigestion.

Ingredients:

  • 2-3 cups spinach
  • 2 cups unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 cup pineapple
  • 15 fresh mint leaves
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds
  • 2 tbsp hemp hearts
  • ½ avocado

Directions:

  1. Blend all ingredients until smooth
