If you hadn’t noticed, I’m a bit obsessed with cauliflower rice these days. I’ve never been a big rice fan. It’s not that I don’t like it, but I just find it boring. The idea of having something LIKE rice that is actually a vegetable and super nutritious is a way more enticing thought!
You might not know just how much of a powerhouse food cauliflower is.
Cauliflower is a cruciferous vegetable, and the cruciferous family are fabulous foods for helping with your body’s detoxification process. Specifically, the Indole 3 Carbinol in there is very effective at detoxing excess estrogen in the body – which can lead to icky symptoms like PMS, very heavy periods, cramping, weight gain in the hips/butt/thighs, and breast tenderness/swelling.
