New Year’s Day Smoothie

HAPPY 2014 EVERYONE!

My guess is that you all made a multitude of New Year’s resolutions  less than 24 hours ago.  If so, hopefully you read my tips on how to set and actually achieve goals for this coming year!  Regardless of what exactly your goals were, I’m sure that many of them included being just a tad bit healthier (and if they didn’t, well, following HEAL will help you be healthier anyway)!  Today’s smoothie recipe is the perfect start to 2014!

Why It’s Healthy:

In case you had a few too many glasses of champagne last night, this recipe is high in antioxidants, from the berries.  The smoothie has a tablespoon of hemp and flax seeds, which are a healthy fat and are blood sugar balancing.  I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again…the best thing you can do to curb cravings is to have a good dose of protein in the morning (which this smoothie has!)  Last, but not least, there are even some hidden veggies in the smoothie that you won’t see OR taste!
