Grapefruit Ginger Fizz Mocktail

Unless Baby K shows up very shortly, it'll be a booze-free Christmas for me! That doesn't mean I won't be enjoying a good mocktail or two though. I've got a few other healthy holiday cocktails and mocktails already up on the blog from previous years that you can check out too:

I haven't tried it, but I would guess this cocktail would taste great with gin if you did want to make it alcoholic.

This mocktail is really light. If you wanted to make it stronger (not from an alcohol standpoint), you could also add a slice or two of fresh ginger and let it sit for a while, then removing it before serving.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup ginger kombucha (you could also use ginger beer)
  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed grapefruit juice (I used 1 grapefruit and squeezed it with my hands)
  • 1/2 cup sparkling water
  • ice cubes
  • basil leaf and/or a wedge of grapefruit to garnish

Directions:

  1. Place all liquid ingredients and ice in a cocktail shaker or a bowl and mix well
  2. Pour into cocktail glasses and garnish with a basil leaf and/or a slice of grapefruit.
