Happy New Year!! I'm going to cut to the chase here. Most of us (myself included) had a few too many sweet treats over the Holidays. I didn't feel guilty about it at all because I knew I'd bounce back to my normal routine, but I wouldn't say this was always the case. I've had times where consuming lots of sugar, whether over the Holidays or not, leads to INSANE cravings for it even when I'm trying to get back into my normal routine.
Where am I going with this? For me personally, and I know everyone is different, I find going cold turkey off sugar for a period of time the best way to reset my cravings. While I like the theory of 'everything in moderation' I just don't believe it works when it comes to sugar, at least for me. There's also science to show that sugar behaves like a drug in your body, and it's pretty hard to be on a drug in moderation! When I'm eating (mostly) sugar free, my energy, my sleep, my skin and how my jeans fit are all wayyy better.
So, as a little New Year's present to you, I've created a 3 day sugar free meal plan that is free of ALL refined sugar (there isn't even any maple syrup or honey) with recipes and all, so that you can get back to feeling great, if the Holiday hangover remains.
